Approach

Developmental Diversity Affirming 1:1 Sessions

Whole child focused – My ways with autistic children (age 4 and up) are centered in a contemporary perspective practiced and empirically formed over many years of care. Each way of play is adapted to the individual interests and sensibility of the child and their unique traits and disposition

  • Situational co-regulation – Nurturing and accommodating interactions of worth; opportunities to develop emotional intelligence, resiliency, and character through boundaried connection
  • Gestalt language communications – Shared connection to actions, activities, and events in context; relational opportunities to develop and map distinctive word meanings and form useful language
  • Experiential learning (child-led play) – Fun and restorative; discretionary opportunities to discover a sense of enjoyment, achievement, satisfaction, and to recreate ourselves in recreation
